Lesson Options & Pricing:

Private individual and group lessons rates. Group lessons are anywhere from 2-6 golfers.  

• 30-minute lesson - $60 
• 45-minute lesson - $90
• 60-minute lesson - $120

Junior Golf

We have summer programs at both courses for beginner students to 18-hole competitive golfers, aged 7-17 years old. Our talented instructors will offer an exciting program of skills, drills, games and fun. All equipment will be provided.

Fox Hollow Junior Golf Programs

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION (if you don't already have one)

1. Create Your Account: Visit LakewoodCO.gov/Register create a profile. This account allows you to register for programs, pay balances and sign up for text alerts - all from your computer or mobile device.
2. Find Your Program: Search the online catalog at LakewoodCO.gov/Register by typing in a keyword or selecting from the filters. From there, you can view specific class details and complete your registration in just a few clicks.
3. Get Support: If you need a hand, call or visit any Lakewood recreation center for staff assistance. You can also use the dedicated registration stations available at all centers and the Clements Community Center. 

Level Beginner 1

No previous lessons. 7-9 a.m.

Level Beginner 2

Lessons last year as a beginner. 7-9 a.m.

Level Squirrel

Able to hit the ball consistently and will play under supervision. 6:30-9 a.m.

Level Fox

Will play 6 holes under supervision and will learn appropriate rules. 6:30-9 a.m.

Level 9-Hole Competition

9-hole competitive golf. Must know golfing rules. 6:30-9 a.m.

Level 18-Hole Competition

18-hole competitive golf. Must know golfing rules. 3 of 5 sessions will be 18-hole play. 6:00-10:30 a.m.

Homestead Junior Golf Programs

Instructor: Bryce Tani, PGA
Days/Dates for 2026: Wednesdays, July 15, July 22 and July 29
Cost: $80

Homestead's Junior Golf programs are full. 

Level Beginner 1

No previous lessons. 7:30-9 a.m.

Level Beginner 2

Lessons last year as a beginner. 7:30-9 a.m.

Level Intermediate

Able to hit the ball consistently, will play 4-5 holes under supervision. 6:30-9 a.m.

Level 9-Hole Competition:

9-hole competitive golf. Must know golfing rules. 6:30-9 a.m.

Golf Instructors

Mike Kramer, Head PGA Professional:

Mike is a 30-year PGA Professional. For 25 years, Mike was the head golf coach at Regis University, leading the institution to several post-season events. During his career, he won the PGA Section Junior Golf Leader of the Year Award and Assistant Professional of the Year awarded by the Colorado Section of the PGA.  Fox Hollow’s Junior Golf program was recognized as Best Program in 2007 under Mike’s tutelage. Regarded as a prominent player in the Colorado Section of the PGA, Mike shares a wealth of instructional golf knowledge for players of all abilities. 

Bryce Tani, Assistant PGA Professional:
Bryce is a Certified PGA Professional who has been coaching golfers of all ages for 26 years. He has worked at Fox Hollow since 1994 and been a member of the PGA since 1997. Bryce graduated from the PGA Golf Management Program at New Mexico State University, an accredited program designed to cultivate talented and motivated men and women to serve in all aspects of the golf industry. 

Mike Melena, Assistant PGA Golf Professional:
As a certified PGA Professional, Mike has been coaching for nearly 20 years. He enjoys assisting all players with their golf game, from entry level to elite collegiate players and club champions. Mike has taught over 15,000 lessons during his tenure as a coach. Mike’s coaching philosophy focuses on improving the skills of the game to achieve outstanding results. A native of Lakewood, Mike played collegiately at Regis University.

Jonathan Southworth, Assistant PGA Professional:
Jonathan was born and raised in Colorado. He grew up playing local courses and played golf for his high school team. He went on to pursue a degree in music, obtaining his Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in percussion performance from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Jonathan spent most of his time out of college teaching private music lessons to students of all ages. Jonathan’s love for teaching and upbringing in the golf community moved him into a different career path in the golf industry. As a PGA Associate, Jonathan enjoys teaching a variety of golfers and skill levels. His teaching background translates greatly to his work with golfers and his teaching philosophy strives to focus on individual needs the most.
